It's been a whole year now since we Amanda and I said our vows in that church by the lake. Over two years since I first asked her to marry me in the rain, dancing to "Love Me Tender". As I sit here beside her, after a great night out with a great dinner, I just wanted to post a little entry marking such a big day in our lives.
I used to think that marking anniversaries was a waste of time; that we should celebrate every day together and celebrating anniversaries was a disservice to the other 364 days. But this year has been a quite a milestone for us. We have struggled, we have fought, we have partied and we have celebrated random adventures together. But most importantly, we have supported each other through everything and we have had a wonderful home to come back to every night. Her loving arms inspire me through each day and I couldn't do it without her. I love you, Amanda.

Updates
These days I still spend a lot of time on the road visiting hog farms, but lately we've had some timing setbacks and so I've been at home, entering data and preparing for visits. This opens up my tv-watching time since most of this stuff requires little thought at all. All I really wanted to say was it is shocking how unbelievably bad television gets as it gets earlier in the day. I've seen just about all of the worst stuff there is... But I think I've found a show to occupy my interests when Bones, NCIS or House isn't on. That show is "The Colony".
The premise behind the show is that these people were selected to try to survive in a 10 acre area after a faked biological disaster. It appeals to me because of the rough creative nature that is necessary to survive in this manner. The ingenuity of some of the characters on it, whether fake or not (always the skeptic here) is kinda fun and thought provoking in a different manner than just watching medical or crime shows.
One other thing to throw out there. If you're interested in seeing wedding pictures of my most favorite and the most beautiful woman I know, they're right here. She was so beautiful that day and I can honestly say that I must have been the happiest man alive. I am so happy to have Amanda with me for the rest of my life. She is my greatest support and uplifts me every day. I really enjoyed the day and will post the honeymoon pictures next once I get them uploaded. Anyhow, I just wanted to share pictures of our special day. Thanks to everyone who has been so supportive of us and our relationship - I look forward to your continued support throughout our marriage and hope that we return the favor.

Happy Belated 4th
I just wanted to post on here briefly. With my limited amount of time the past week and this coming week, I have been spending far more time posting on my agriculture blog and less time on this one. I apologize for the lack of personal information in what is going on in my life right now but suffice it to say that I have been very busy and so has Amanda. Settling in together has been a very smooth process that leaves me confident for our future as we've both exhibited great patience and understanding, which will be necessary in the long run for sure.
Both of us are still trying to get things moved into the house and put into the places where they belong. There are still boxes sitting around, but in the past week we've managed to have people over a couple of times to grill out with our new grill, show off our new washer and dryer (nothing spells independence like doing your own laundry with your own appliances) and go swimming in our pool.
Pooling has been interesting in its own right. Some days we go down there to find nobody in it, and then other days there are the oddballs. Last week there was a woman in a bikini that as Amanda put it, did a pretty good job of somehow absorbing her bikini into her body somewhere. If you can't control your inner amoeba, I'd suggest not wearing things like that, I'm just saying. And then there are the days that the pool is locked up at 9.30. Who does that? It's typically rare to even find a locked pool, let alone a pool that's locked before closing time. Needless to say, it was pretty frustrating to me.
Anyhow, that's life in this department. With Denver 2 days away and less than 2 weeks before 4-H camp, finding time to post will be difficult. I am going to try and put up a few wedding picture as they come through. Until then, feel free to check out our wedding website and the engagement photos which are still linked through that site.

Monday’s Post (delayed)
After the recent frequent posting, I bet you’re surprised I haven’t been on here yet. Well, I’ve actually been online, and even on the blog site. However there was a recent loss of ability to blog which remained unsolved throughout Monday afternoon. So here’s what I’ve been up to since last posting.
Amanda and I have successfully moved. If you don’t have our new address, please email, text, call or facebook me for it. Moving was mostly finished Saturday, but boxes are still everywhere even after all of the unpacking and mattress buying yesterday.
(I have to insert here that I’m currently listening to Mother/Son songs for the wedding and Paul Todd is singing and there is nobody more creepy than this guy. If you know of someone, I challenge you to post one, but this man is frightening. I tried wikipediaing him, but to no luck.)
While I was at the grocery yesterday I finally invested the 2 dollars for some power-steering fluid. Mind you, besides the spilling that occurred, my car darn near took an entire quart of it. I guess it needed the fluid badly. Lol. Anyhow, I have since heard no more steering sounds at all. Literally the first turn I made afterwards was silent. Problem solved, and also one more compelling reason for me not to return to Wal-mart (who is not linked because I now dislike them) who told me that they would fill it for me the last time that I was in. Lazy liars. I’m learning how to change my own oil and I have 2400 miles left before it is that time…
Weight is down to 234.5. That’s great progress, right? Well, with biking, moving and swimming I am sure it is partially water and also partially great exercise. Regardless, I am hoping to continue the trend by perhaps swimming this evening and taking a bike ride tomorrow.
(Next song, equally terrible)
Work continues this week, with me getting onto the kill floor on Thursday. I’m pretty excited and a little anxious about it. I’m not nervous, just (no offense dude, but your mom probably was in the first “your mom” joke… back before they were funny.) I’m not nervous about Thursday, just anxious that I will be able to learn fast enough to stay out of harm’s way and be helpful.
I looked at a yellow bike yesterday. Probably not going to work. However, I went to Handy Bikes and the man there was quite helpful in regards to pointing me to what things will be good for the race in August. Now it looks even more hopeful that the bike this evening will be the one to take me to Athens and back on the Pelotonia. I can’t wait until I get the bike and can start going. Please get ready to sponsor me!

Packing and random pain
Amanda's packing and she's had quite the day, so I'm only posting on here to say how much I love her and hope the next 2 weeks get easier for her. We're moving this week and I can't wait to be into the new place. Of course, I can't wait to be married either. :)
Only other news I have:
1) Check out our new engagement photos. Previously, Katherine took some of us, but this is the new set from our wedding photographer, so please enjoy.
2) I am starting to continuously suffer from bad pain in my right side. No fun.
