Dear Wayne and the HSUS,
Odds are that you probably won't even place my comment on your website because you are too afraid of the truth being known to allow for educated followers. However, I thought I'd drop you a line anyhow. The purpose of my post is none other than to provoke some objective intelligent thought on closed-minded website.
Perhaps you'd be interested in sharing the truth about some of your false claims regarding the strangulation case in Ohio. For example, the 'huge victory' claimed by the pork producers was not due to the fact that a man was let go for animal abuse, but rather that an outside lobbyist group was not able to pull off coercing the government into condemning a man who had done nothing illegal. Does this mean that I support strangling animals to death? Absolutely not! What you fail to also mention is that he was not found innocent on all accounts, and as I recall was also fined. We do not stand by animal abuse in Ohio; we just do not want an outside force who has no true interest in the animals' welfare coming in and controlling what we do (consider how your undercover agents repeatedly neglecting to stop abuse because they would rather capture the footage). We do not support terrorism and the threats that it brings to citizens of this world, nor will we support threats by an organization within the United States that is misleading the American public one vegetarian and puppy at a time. If you had patience to allow the board to unfold, I have no doubt that it will make the move towards the animal welfare that you desire, but instead you are exhibiting a lack of faith in the citizens of Ohio who have already voted on this board. Give it a legitimate chance to work before you start flailing arms, whining about how it doesn't accomplish anything.
Your campaign shows little remorse for the fact that you didn't even spend 1/4 of your funds raised for Katrina victims on actual Katrina victims, or that you allegedly tried to pull of the same stunt again for Haiti - shameful. Your disregard for the truth and true ethics is ironic since that is exactly what you claim to be spreading.
